Hey everyone! It's been an extremely long time since I've updated or even been active on this blog. In all honesty, I just stopped updating because I was really busy and I just forgot about the blog. I'm back now and here to stay! I apologize to anyone who was waiting for a post or to anyone who left a comment that I never responded to. I was extremely surprised to come back to this blog and see the amount of views and comments, thank you to everyone who has supported this blog even through my inactiveness. Again, I am back and I'm going to resurrect this blog. In the meantime, this past June I started a new blog called Pearls-Roses, it's fairly new and it's not been very succesful, but I'm going to continue it. If you would like to check out my other blog you can check it out here. If you check out my other blog (Pearls-Roses) and are wondering if I will keep posting on it the answer is yes! I will continue to post on my other blog but this blog is now my main blog, Pearls-Roses is now a backup. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing!

I am a self proclaimed lipstick lover. I think mixing up your lip color can really change an entire look, it can make your everyday makeup look a lot different. This summer I have been purchasing so many new lip colors and I have narrowed down my favorites to five. These five are my essentials, I practically couldn't live without them. And today I've decided to share them with you!

1. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Crayon, Shade: Cherish Devotion. This is definitely my favorite shade of pink that I own. Light shades of pink are my favorite colors to wear and this has byfar been the best shade of pink that I've tried. It's very pigmented and stays on very well, long after you apply it. It has a slight shine to it and it goes on like a balm, very hydrating and moisturizing. I reccomend this product if you are looking for a long wearing, very pigmented lip crayon and I would definitely repurchase it.

2. Baby Lips, Shade: Blush Burst. Over the summer I have developed a major obsession with Baby Lips. I love how they are a balm, but they still have color to them. Baby Lips are perfect for school or for on-the-go. The shade I have been really loving is Blush Burst. It looks like a very pale peach but it goes on clear with a slight shine. I wore this a lot on vacation and on days where I didn't put on much makeup. Another pro to this product is that it protects your lips from the sun!

3. NYX Matte Lipstick, Shade: Hippe Chic. This color is very different than anything I have tried before. It's a very bright peach color and at first I didn't like it. It's very, very bright, almost neon, I would recommend applying this with a mirror because it's quite easy to make a mess. I love the color though, it looks great with a tan. It's extremely matte which I perfer, but sometimes I apply a bit of clear lip gloss just to brighten things up.

4. Estee Lauder Lip Stick, Shade: Hot Kiss. I'm not much for red lipsticks, I can pull red off but it's not my favorite. This color however, suits me very well. The shade of red is very deep, almost the color of burgandy but it has a touch of brown, rather than berry. My friend received an Estee Lauder makeup kit for Christmas last year and within her kit was this color. She gave it to me because she strongly disliked it on her, but on me it looks so nice. I love wearing it with burgandy shirts, it looks really pretty!

5. Essence Lip Stick, Shade: Cool Nude/Sally Girl Lip Gloss, Shade: Curfew. My ultimate summer color is my Essence lipstick. This color is new to my collection but as soon as I purchased it, it immediately became my favorite. It's a berry color but very toned down with hints of nude in it. I love how it goes on (and stays on), it's very matte and it goes so well with any look. If I want to add a hint of shimmer I use my Sally Girl Lip Gloss which is about the same shade only with a hint of pink rather than the nude shades. I love the two together or just the lipstick itself. I think I've found my signature color!
